PSD Stability

The Model 20/20 PSD is a sealed system, and exhibits excellent long term stability.  Proven design and clean room assembly techniques yield a long lived detector.  As shown below, the energy signal (or gain) of this detector will typically vary by less than 1% over 500 hours of actual use. 

Another advantage of the sealed detector technology over flow counters is stability with respect to temperature and barometric pressure.  The Model 20/20 was operated over a 48 hour period while ambient temperature was varied by 6 degrees Centigrade.  Energy signal (gain) changed by about 0.3%.
